Home / Lead Policy
Lead policy.
What counts as a valid lead, what comes with it, and how returns work.
1. What this page covers
This policy explains what we count as a valid lead, what we deliver with it, and how a home-service company that has received a lead (a "Partner") can ask for a return. It does not change the rights homeowners have under our Privacy Policy or Terms of Use.
2. What is a lead
A lead is a request submitted by a homeowner through a RemodelGenius form, asking to be contacted about a home improvement project. The homeowner chooses the service, describes the project and gives their contact details and consent.
3. What makes a lead valid
We treat a lead as valid when all of the following are true:
- Every required question on the form was answered: service, project need, property type, homeowner status, ZIP code, timeline, name, phone number, email address and consent.
- The person ticked the consent box before submitting. We record the exact wording shown, the time and the IP address.
- The request is not a duplicate of one already delivered to the same Partner within the Partner's duplicate period.
- The phone number and email address were provided by the person making the request.
4. What we deliver with each lead
- The homeowner's answers and contact details.
- A unique Lead ID.
- The consent record: wording shown, date and time, IP address and landing page.
- Where available, a TrustedForm certificate URL and a Jornaya LeadID, which independently document the consumer's session and consent.
5. Returns
A Partner may ask for a return within 7 days of delivery when the lead fits one of these reasons:
- Invalid phone number: the number is disconnected, not in service or clearly not a working number.
- Duplicate: the same person was already delivered to the same Partner within the agreed duplicate period.
- Outside the service area: the ZIP code is outside the coverage the Partner agreed with us.
- Not a homeowner: the person says they do not own the property and the lead was sold as a homeowner lead.
6. What is not returnable
- The homeowner did not answer, or answered later than the Partner expected.
- The homeowner changed their mind, chose another company or is only comparing prices.
- The Partner cannot or chooses not to take the job, or the job size or price is not what the Partner wanted.
- Leads the Partner has already worked or sold on.
7. How to request a return
Email contact@liftmyads.com with the Lead ID, the reason and any supporting detail. We will review it and reply within 5 business days. If the return is approved, we will issue a credit or replacement lead.
8. Opt-outs and privacy requests
If a homeowner opts out of the sale or sharing of their information, we stop delivering their requests to Partners. Leads already delivered before the request are not recalled. See Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.
